Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at AC & Element hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting and clerical duties to support the financial operations of our hotel. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, ensuring proper codes are used and that all documentation is accurate.
- Prepare and issue payment to vendors according to hotel policies and schedules.
- Manage guest accounts, ensuring accurate billing and timely payments.

Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and general ledger entries.
- Assist in monthly closings and financial audits.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software.
- Input data in spreadsheets and accounting programs, ensuring data integrity.
- File and organize physical and electronic records in compliance with company policy.

Customer Service:
- Respond to inquiries from staff, vendors, and guests regarding billing issues and payment inquiries.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed to resolve financial discrepancies.

Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures as well as governmental regulations related to accounting and finance.
- Stay updated on best practices in accounting and hotel management.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
