Overview
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a key role in ensuring our hotel remains safe, comfortable, and welcoming for guests and associates. In this hands-on position, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete repairs throughout the property, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality workmanship that supports an exceptional guest experience.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs to ensure building systems and equipment operate efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other facility-related systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance concerns and address issues proactively.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of hotel facilities, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, hotel standards, and local regulations.
- Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general maintenance projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
- Support emergency response efforts and after-hours maintenance needs when required.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership and team members to support operational goals and guest satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment community, commercial building, or similar environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
- Trade certifications or technical training are a plus.
